What we do

Discretionary portfolio management, retirement planning, and practice-level guidance for dentists.

How we do it

Fee-only and fiduciary, with no commissions or proprietary products.

Portfolio management

Built individually

We build every portfolio individually and manage it with full discretion. Broad diversification, low costs, tax sensitivity, long-term growth. Every decision serves those four things.

Retirement & transitions

Planning your exit from dentistry

The end of your career is where decisions compound: when to sell, how to structure the sale, whether to take a DSO offer or stay independent, and how to turn the proceeds and your portfolio into retirement income. This transition is the center of our work.

Retirement planning starts with income: which accounts to draw from, in what order, and at what tax cost. From there, Social Security timing and estate coordination. The entire plan takes shape around the timing and terms of your exit.

Aligned with you, by design

We believe recommendations should be made because they are right for you, not because there is something to sell. That’s why we are independent and fee-only. We aren’t affiliated with a broker-dealer, don’t sell insurance or annuities, and don’t accept commissions or referral fees. No one pays us to steer you toward a particular investment or professional.

Our fees are straightforward; we charge a percentage of the assets we manage, with investment management, financial planning, and practice planning all falling under that one banner. There are no hourly rates, hidden fees, separate planning bills, and there is never a cost for picking up the phone to talk with us or ask us a question, whether you’re a client or not.

The right team around you

The right professional team matters. We work closely with the accountants, attorneys, lenders, insurance professionals, and other specialists you already know and trust. We stay involved so you aren’t left to coordinate everything on your own.

A relationship for your entire career

We earn trust with straightforward advice, disciplined investment management, and planning built around your practice. Relationships last through a career on those terms.

Common questions

What services are included?

We include discretionary portfolio management, financial planning, and practice-level guidance. The scope is driven by your situation. There is no separate charge for planning or practice guidance; both are included in the advisory fee.

What does practice-level guidance include?

We analyze overhead, provide practice valuation estimates, plan transitions and exits, model buy-ins and buy-outs, and analyze associate compensation. When a DSO offer arrives, we give you an independent read on what it is worth to you, not to the acquirer. We do not perform formal business valuations or provide legal advice.

Do you provide business valuations?

No. We provide practice valuation estimates as part of transition guidance. These are advisory estimates, not formal appraisals. If you need a formal valuation, we refer you to qualified valuation professionals.

What custodian do you use?

Charles Schwab. Your assets are held at Schwab, not at Fauchard Investments. We trade under discretionary authority.
